She has put to good use her 22 years of personal experience buying, restoring, redesigning and selling 19 houses in historic neighborhoods. 

 

Susan graduated from UNCW with degrees in social work and drama and worked as a flight attendant for Piedmont Airlines for 16 years.  She was trained in design at Salem College and UNC-G and worked for three years as an intern with designer Bruce Anderson in his business, Idlewild House Inc.  She and her husband, Jeff MacIntosh, have two grown sons.

Inspired Spaces, a limited liability corporation based in Winston-Salem, NC, was founded in 2004 by Susan MacIntosh.
